Hollyhocks

I’ve been watching this hollyhock plant grow from a tiny sprout into a beautiful pink flowering wonder. It has managed to produce these lovely flowers with very little water and attention in the backyard next to the cottage. My grandmother would grow hollyhocks every year. All they needed to do was sprout from last year’s seed and she would nurture them into mature colorful flowering plants for all to enjoy. I’d like to think this hollyhock has been been doing the same thing every year for a very long time. I’ll be sure to collect some seeds so they can make their showing again next year.
